Coconut water should not replace prescribed blood-pressure treatment. We have removed claims that a beverage alone will reliably control hypertension.
Potassium is part of the picture
The American Heart Association discusses potassium as part of blood-pressure management, while warning that kidney disease and medicines can affect potassium safety. That does not establish a treatment dose of coconut water.
Check before increasing your intake
Ask your clinician whether you have a potassium limit or take medicines that affect it. Share the nutrition label and usual portion rather than choosing a quantity from a general article.
Keep the broader plan
Continue your prescribed care. Our potassium and kidney disease guide explains another reason individual advice matters.
